The Bishop climbing area is a cluster of bouldering and climbing spots in Colorado, about a mile from the town of Ferndale. It sits close to two other named climbing areas, Aircraft Carrier Boulder and Dome, both about 0.2 miles away, which makes it easy to pair with those for a full day of rock. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Bailey weather station, at a similar elevation, show July highs around 79°F with lows near 44°F, while winter highs stay in the upper 30s. The Sunshine Trail and Cynical Trail are both within a mile, and West Resort Creek offers canoeing about 3 miles away. For an overnight stay, Buffalo Campground is roughly 6 miles off.
