Dark Side Boulders is a climbing area on city land in the Bergheim - Wood area of Colorado, about a mile from Boulder. It sits among a cluster of bouldering spots, with BBC Boulder, Mothership, The and Misc East Boulders all within about a tenth of a mile. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Boulder show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 66°F, while July averages climb to about 88°F and January lows drop to about 21°F. The Kohler Mesa Trail and Mesa Trail are both about 0.4 miles away. Boulder Creek, a paddling spot, is about 1.9 miles off, and Winiger Ridge campground is about 5.1 miles away.
