Corkscrew Boulder is a climbing area in Colorado's White River National Forest, within the Sopris Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the boulder sits in a tight cluster of other climbing spots. That makes it easy to pair with neighboring problems in a single session. For weather, the most comfortable stretch runs from June through September. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at the Aspen airport show June highs around 77°F and September highs around 72°F, with lows in the low 40s. Land Shark Boulder and Beginner's Luck Boulder are each about 0.1 mile away, and Redstone Family Campground is just as close for an overnight base. The East Creek hike lies about 1.4 miles off.
