Penstamon Tie is a short mountain biking route in the Dillon Ranger District of Colorado's White River National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The ride covers about 0.28 miles, climbing roughly 178 feet from a starting elevation of about 9,140 feet to a high point of about 9,326 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.19 miles, with a grade of about 14 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Dillon show July highs around 75°F with lows near 38°F, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. The Cah-Vah hike and the Upper Soda Ridge mountain biking route both lie about 0.4 miles away. Lowry Campground is about 1.8 miles off, and Dillon Reservoir is about 3.3 miles away.
