Fallen Soldier is a short, low-elevation mountain biking climb in the Dillon Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado, about 0.7 miles long. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route rises about 115 feet from a starting point near 9,214 feet to a high point of about 9,314 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Dillon run from highs around 69°F in June to about 75°F in July, with July lows near 38°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the route, so temperatures on the climb run a little cooler. The climb is short and easy to fold into a longer ride. Shadow Catcher lies just 0.1 mile away, and Soda Creek Tie is about 0.2 mile off. For overnight stays, Lowry Campground is about 1.3 miles away, and Dillon Reservoir offers fishing about 2.6 miles out.
