Slickrock Blue Trail is a short mountain biking route on Bureau of Land Management land within the Tres Rios Field Office in Colorado. The trail runs about 1.2 miles, with a total elevation gain of 174 feet, and it sits at roughly 5,500 feet. The climb is gentle by and large, though the steepest stretch comes early, around 0.28 miles in, where the grade reaches about 11 percent. For comfortable riding conditions, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 75°F in May and 80°F in September, while July averages near 90°F. The station sits a few hundred feet higher than the trail, so temperatures on the route run slightly warmer. The trail is a handy link to other routes close by.
