Sand Canyon Trail is a mountain biking route on Bureau of Land Management land in the Tres Rios Field Office in Colorado, about 6.5 miles long with a one-way climb of 1,519 feet. The trail starts near 5,468 feet and reaches about 6,845 feet, with the steepest stretch at roughly 3.9 miles in, where the grade hits about 43%. For comfortable riding, late spring and early fall are the sweet spots. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and September highs near 79°F, while July averages about 90°F and winter highs sit in the low 40s. Several other trails lie close by. Upper SC Connect is about 0.9 miles away and East Rock Creek Trail about 1.3 miles.
