McIntyre Creek is a hard, out-and-back hike in the Rawah Wilderness, part of the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado. The route spans about 7.2 miles, climbing roughly 1,354 feet from a low point of 9,486 feet to a high of 10,871 feet. The trail is on natural surface, and horses are allowed. Bikes are not. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at a lower elevation show July highs around 74°F with lows near 43°F, though temperatures at the high point run cooler. The station sits about 1,350 feet below the trail's top. The hike is open year-round. Nearby, Medicine Bow and the Jack Dickens Trail are both within about 3 miles, Browns Park Campground is about 4 miles away, and Stub Creek Cabin is about 5 miles off.
