Lady Moon Loop is an easy, 1.7-mile loop hike on natural surface within the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado. The trail runs between about 8,096 feet and 8,209 feet, so the climb is small, with a total gain of 111 feet over the course of the loop. It is managed by the Forest Service and is open year-round. The route is short and gentle, which makes it a natural choice for an outing that fits easily into a longer day in the area. The trailhead is named Lady Moon Trailhead, and the estimated time for the loop is about half an hour. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station run around 78°F for highs and 47°F for lows, and the station sits roughly 500 feet below the trail, so temperatures on the loop run a bit cooler. Several other outings lie close by. The Lady Moon hike starts just 0.2 miles away, and the Mount Margaret Trail is about 0.6 miles off.
