Creek is a short, easy out-and-back hike of about a mile in the Dillon Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado. It sits at roughly 9,244 feet, with a high point around 9,395 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surfaced, with only about a foot of elevation gain in the round. The route works for all kinds of riders. Bicycles and horses are both allowed, so it makes a good option for an equestrian ride or a mountain bike detour on a longer day in the area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical July highs reach about 75°F with lows near 38°F, according to averages from a nearby weather station at Dillon. Winter is cold, with January highs around 31°F and lows near 1°F. The Teva and Crosscut mountain biking trails are just a few tenths of a mile away. Old Dillon Reservoir #87 and Heaton Bay Campground are each about 1.2 miles off.
