Willows Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Dillon Ranger District of White River National Forest, about 15 miles north of Silverthorne along Hwy 9. It sits near the north end of Green Mountain Reservoir, which offers views of the Williams Fork and Gore mountain ranges. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Green Mt Dam show July highs around 79°F with lows near 44°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. The campground has vault toilets, and fee stations are located around the reservoir. Green Mountain Reservoir is about 1.3 miles away, and Elliott Creek Campground and Cow Creek North Campground are also within about a mile and a half. The Green Mountain Camp Trail is about 1.7 miles off.
