Hidden Valley Campground sits in the Gunnison Ranger District of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests in Colorado, about 15 miles from the town of Gunnison. The Forest Service manages the land, and the site's simple amenities include vault toilets. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 72°F with lows near 40°F, though July and August also bring about 15 wet days a month. Winter is cold, with January highs around 35°F and lows near 2°F. Hidden Valley Tent Campground is just 0.1 mile away, and Spruce Campground is about a mile off.
