Huntington State Beach is a 116-acre state park on the California coast, managed by the state park agency and about 4 miles from Costa Mesa. Weather here stays mild year-round, and late summer into early fall is the warmest, driest stretch: typical averages from the nearby Newport Beach Harbor station put highs around 73 to 74°F from August through October, with almost no rainy days. Winter brings typical highs in the mid-60s and the most wet days, about six a month from December through February. For more time outside, Trail C and Trail A are both within 2 miles. Farther afield, about 6 miles away, the Brightwater Trail offers a walk and Corona Del Mar draws climbers.
