Young Boulder is a bouldering area in California's Mount San Jacinto State Park, within the San Jacinto Ranger District of San Bernardino National Forest. The land is managed by State Park and Recreation, and the area sits among several other climbing spots, with The West Rim and Emerald City both about 0.1 mile away. The bouldering here is all on rock, with seven routes listed, and the grades run from V0- up to V6. The easiest are Cracked Egg at V0- and Problem B at V0, while Only The Good Die Young is the hardest at V6. Problem A Sit Start is a V3. The area is a compact cluster of boulders rather than a long route, so a single visit can cover several problems. For a longer outing, the Round Valley Trail and Desert View Trail are both within a mile. Camping is available at Black Mountain (San Bernardino) and Fern Basin, each about 5 miles away.
