West Face is a climbing area in the Lower Trinity Ranger District of Six Rivers National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with the North Face just 0.1 mile away and the Paisano Buttress about 1.6 miles off. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Cecilville show May highs around 75°F and October highs near 70°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. That station sits well below the climbing area, so temperatures up high run cooler. For a change from the rock, the Coon Creek Loop and South Fork Trinity hikes are both about 3 miles away.
