Lower Shooting Gallery is a sport climbing area in California's Shasta-Trinity National Forest, within the Big Bar Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the climbing here sits close to two other named areas: Upper Shooting Gallery and Paisano Buttress, both about 0.1 mile away. Seven sport routes make up the crag, and they range from about 5.10b to 5.12+. The most common grade is 5.12a, and the hardest is Rapture, a 5.12+ first climbed by Eric Chemello. Other routes include Smack Daddy, at 5.12a, and Whiplash, at 5.12b. All the routes are sport, so climbers should plan for bolted holds. For time off the wall, Coon Creek Loop and South Fork Trinity are both hikes about 2.8 miles away. Burnt Ranch Campground is roughly 4.2 miles off, and Slide Creek Campground is about 7 miles away.
