The Wall is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park in California, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, including The Wall - Left Side, The Wall - Middle Section and Hershey Kiss Boulder, all within about a tenth of a mile. A fee is charged for climbing here. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yucca Valley show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 80°F, while July and August average about 96°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower than the park's higher ground, so temperatures at the Wall run cooler. The routes here are all trad, with grades ranging from 5.6 to 5.10b. Four routes are listed: Damn Jam (5.6), Good to the Last Drop (5.9), Chalk Up Another One (5.10a) and Pumping Ego (5.10b). Hikers can reach the Echo T Trailhead about 0.4 miles away and the Hidden Valley Trailhead about 0.5 miles away.
