Pinhead Boulder is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park in California, managed by the National Park Service. It sits within the park's network of bouldering spots, and a fee is charged for visiting. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Yucca Valley weather station run to highs around 73°F in April and 80°F in October. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the boulders, so expect it to run a little cooler at the climbing area. Several other boulders are right next door, including Family Boulder, HVCG East and Outhouse Rock - East Face, each about 0.1 mile away. The Echo T Trailhead is 0.4 mile off for a hike, and Barker Dam Trail is 0.5 mile away.
