Waishal Trail is a bouldering area in California, about 2 miles from Murrieta. It sits close to several other hikes and climbing spots, making it an easy addition to a day of outdoor time in the Murrieta area. The climbing here is all bouldering, with 15 routes spread across a range of V0-1 to V6. Cold Feet is the easiest at V0-1, and Groundhog Day Slab is the hardest at V6. Obama Prism and Black Beard also stand out in the middle of that range. The bouldering is the main draw, so plan a visit around the rock rather than a long walk. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 72°F in April to 74°F in November, while July and August average highs in the upper 80s. Nearby, the California Oaks Trail and Vista Grande Trail are both about 2 miles away, and Wildomar Campground is about 6 miles off for an overnight stay. Climbers can also look to the Temecula Area, roughly 7.5 miles away.
