Onigiri is a bouldering area in California, about 2 miles from the community of Menifee Lakes. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Electric Bobcat and The Lion's Den each about 0.1 mile away and Sweet Relief about 0.2 mile off. The area is a compact, close-together set of boulders rather than a long route, and the climbing is all on rock rather than on a trail. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the San Jacinto weather station, about 12 miles away, show April highs near 74°F and October highs near 82°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. The boulders here are rated from V1 to V4, with five routes in total. Sticky Rice is the easiest at V1, and Bonito and Raw Tuna are the hardest at V4. The area is small enough that a single visit can cover several of these. Salt Creek Trail is about 3.5 miles away for a hike, and the San Jacinto River offers paddling about 8 miles out.
