Underground Cliff is a climbing area in the White Mountain Ranger District of Inyo National Forest, California, about 5 miles from Bishop. The land is managed by the city. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Bishop put May highs around 83°F and October highs near 78°F. That station sits well below the cliff, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. Trestle Wall and Warm Out Wall are both about 0.1 mile away, so they pair easily with a day at Underground Cliff. Lower Rock Creek Trail, Section 3, is about 2.6 miles off, and Tuff Campground is about 5.6 miles away.
