Junior Area is a climbing area in the White Mountain Ranger District of Inyo National Forest, about 16 miles from Bishop, California. The land is managed as city land. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bishop show April highs around 74°F and October highs around 78°F, while July averages about 100°F and winter lows drop to the low 20s. Two climbing areas sit right next door: Sanitarium and Upper Elbow Room, each about 0.1 mile away. Lower Rock Creek Trail, Section 3, is about 2.6 miles off, and Tuff Campground is about 5.5 miles away.
