Tin Can Alley is a climbing area in the Mountaintop Ranger District of San Bernardino National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Free Spirit Boulder and End of The Road both about a tenth of a mile away, making it easy to pair with a bouldering session. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb here. Typical averages from the nearby Big Bear Lake weather station, which sits a few hundred feet lower, show July highs around 80°F and lows near 50°F, with only a couple of wet days in the month. Winter is much colder, with January highs around 46°F and lows in the mid-20s. Tanglewood Group Camp is under a mile away and Van Dusen Canyon Spur about 1.5 miles off. Holcomb Valley Ranch and the Big Bear Lake Recreation Area are a little farther, at roughly 2.3 and 3.3 miles.
