East Side Bouldering is a bouldering area in the Mountaintop Ranger District of San Bernardino National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Spider Rock and Tin Can Alley each about 0.1 mile away. The area has 21 bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale from V0- to V3. The easiest are The Gullywag at V0- and Hand of Faith at V1, while Crack Attack and The Cat's Pajamas top out at V3. Summer is the warmest stretch. Typical averages from the nearby Big Bear Lake weather station, which sits about 750 feet lower, show July highs around 80°F with lows near 50°F.
