The Tall Wall is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Bishop Field Office in California. It sits among several other climbing spots, with the Western Wall Area, Walnut and Truffle Tower all about 0.1 mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Independence weather station show April highs around 76°F and October highs around 81°F, while July and August average in the low 100s. That station sits about 870 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures here run cooler. The Arch Loop Trail is about half a mile away, and the Alabama Hills Trail is about 1.5 miles off. For an overnight stay, Tuttle Creek Campground and Lone Pine are both about 3 miles away.
