The Ghosts is a climbing area in California on Bureau of Land Management land within the Bishop Field Office. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with The Eye of Horus, DXM Wall and The Walnut all about a tenth of a mile away, so it is easy to pair with a visit to any of them. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Independence put April highs around 76°F with lows near 44°F and October highs around 81°F with lows near 48°F, while July and August average highs in the low 100s. That station sits roughly 800 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures up top run cooler. The area has 19 sport routes, with grades ranging from 5.5 to 5.12. Among the named routes are Burnt Bacon and Beans at 5.5, Elephant Hunting at 5.10b, and the Unknown Hammerhead Roof Route (Rabbit Hole Project?) at 5.12.
