SW Face Center, also known as The Solarium, is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park in California, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Little Hunk - NE Face (Shady Grove Wall), Mounds and Necco Boulder all about 0.1 mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Yucca Valley weather station show April highs around 73°F and October highs near 80°F, while July and August average about 96°F. A fee is charged for climbing at this area. The Barker Dam Trail and the Echo T Trailhead are within half a mile for hikers who want to pair a climb with a walk.
