Rock Garden Valley - Middle is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park in California, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, including Lost Horse Wall - Left Side, Lost Horse Wall - Right Side and Rock Garden Valley - Right Side, all about 0.1 mile away, and Copenhagen Wall, also about 0.1 mile off. The area has 11 routes, mostly trad, with one mixed and one sport. Grades run from 5.6 up to 5.11a. Among the named routes are Blue Sky, Black Death at 5.6, Swiss Cheese at 5.8, and Turning Tricks at 5.11a, the hardest of the group. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yucca Valley show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 80°F, while July and August average about 96°F. A fee is charged for park activities.
