PSOM Slab is a climbing area in California's John Muir Wilderness, within the White Mountain Ranger District of Inyo National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable times to climb here. At a nearby weather station in Mammoth Lakes, typical July averages run from a high of 78°F to a low of 49°F, and September typically sees highs around 71°F with lows near 40°F. Scheelite Crags / PSOM Slab and Gold Wall are both about 0.1 mile away, so they are easy to add to a climbing day. Pine Creek is about 1.4 miles off, and Mosquito Flat Backpacker Campground lies about 5.1 miles away.
