It sits in the high country around Lake Tahoe, and several other climbing areas and trails lie close by. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical July highs reach about 78°F with lows near 46°F, and the months from June through September see few wet days, based on averages from the nearby Tahoe City weather station.
