North Astro Dome - Southwest Face is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park, within the Joshua Tree Wilderness in California, managed by the National Park Service. The most comfortable months for a visit are spring and fall. Typical averages from the nearby Yucca Valley weather station run from highs of 73°F in April to 80°F in October, while July and August average highs around 96°F. A fee is charged for climbing here. The North Astro Dome - Northeast Face and South Astro Dome - Northeast Face climbing areas sit about 0.1 mile away, and the Astrodome Approach Trail and Barker Dam Trail are each about 0.6 mile off.
