Island Wall is a climbing area in Mount Rubidoux Park, a city-managed park in California. It sits on city land, and its cluster of boulders and short routes puts it close to the city's edge. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 70°F with lows near 44°F in January and February to highs around 76°F with lows near 47°F in November. That station sits about 2 miles away and about 230 feet below the wall, so temperatures on the wall may run a little cooler. The climbing here is dominated by bouldering, with 26 boulder problems and a single traditional route among the 31 routes. Grades range from V0- to V7 on the V scale and from 5.6 to 5.10+ on the YDS scale. Some of the named routes include Mantel Place at V0 and Middle of the Road Madness at V7, with the latter's first ascent by Hensel. Presto Digitator and Street Boulder are both about 0.1 mile away. For a walk, Park path is roughly 2.3 miles off.
