Icebox Boulder is a bouldering area in California, about 1.4 miles from the community of Mission Canyon. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with The Creamery just 0.1 mile away and West Nile Boulder (aka The Creek Boulder) about 0.2 mile off. The Rattlesnake hike starts roughly 0.2 mile away, so the area works well for a short outing or a longer day with more climbing and walking. The climbing here is all bouldering, with seven routes spread across the V0 to V12 range. The easiest is Icebox Slab at V0, and the hardest is State of the Art at V12. Other routes include General Electric at V5 and Silent Observer at V11. The Creamery and West Nile Boulder are close by, so climbers can easily link several boulders in one visit. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 80°F and October highs around 83°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. The station sits about 465 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run a little cooler.
