G Boulder, also known as Cosmos Boulder, is a bouldering area in California, about 4.6 miles from the town of Banning. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, with Roadside Corral just 0.2 miles away and Trailside Boulders about 4.5 miles off. The area has six bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale. The easiest is Gym Problem at V1, and the hardest is Cosmos at V10, first ascended by Chris Sharma. Unnamed Face and Unnamed Face 2 sit in the V4-5 range, and OK Arete is V7-8. The routes are all bouldering, so there is no climbing on rope. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 72°F, while July and August average in the mid-80s. That station sits about 1,140 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures here run cooler. Nearby, the Wolfskill Truck Trail and Puppet Truck Trail are both within about 3.5 miles. Boulder Basin campground is about 6 miles away, and the San Gorgonio River offers paddling roughly 6.6 miles out.
