Trailside Boulders is a climbing area in the San Jacinto Ranger District of San Bernardino National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of trails and other climbing spots in the district, with Black Mountain and Cinco Poses Trail both about 0.8 miles away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Idyllwild show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 72°F, while July and August climb into the mid-80s and winter brings highs in the mid-50s with a few snowy days. Other climbing areas close by include Campground Crags and Cracker Boy Area, each about 1.3 miles away. Boulder Basin campground is about 1.6 miles off, and Black Mountain (San Bernardino) campground is about 2.5 miles away.
