Forever Young is a bouldering area on Bureau of Land Management land in California's Eagle Lake Field Office, about 7 miles from the town of Eagle Lake. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with Roadside Rock just 0.1 mile away and Dogpile Corridor 0.2 mile off, so it works well as a stop in a day of exploring the surrounding crags. The area holds 17 bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale from V0 to V10. The easiest is Toronado at V0, and the hardest is Battle Axe (also known as The Cave Problem) at V10. The median grade is V3, so climbers of all levels can find something to work on here. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and October highs around 67°F, while July and August average in the upper 80s. That station sits about 1,100 feet lower than the area, so temperatures at the boulders run cooler. Other climbing areas within a mile and a half include The Outskirts at 0.5 mile and Taylor Bay at 0.8 mile. For an overnight stay, Meadow View Family Campground is about 9 miles away.
