Elysia is a bouldering area in the Trabuco Ranger District of Cleveland National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing areas, with Burn Victim, First Hill and El Cariso all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with six routes ranging from V1 to V7. Elysia is the V1 boulder, Her Scar is V2, and Through the Looking Bush is the hardest at V7. The area is best suited to climbers who enjoy bouldering on a small scale, with the routes close together and the grade range covering both easy and more challenging problems. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 74°F in April to 82°F in October, while July and August average highs in the mid-90s. That station sits well below the boulders, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler. For a longer outing, the Falcon hike is about a mile away and Blue Jay Campground is about 1.3 miles off.
