Dogma Dome is a climbing area in the High Sierra Ranger District of Sierra National Forest in California, about 6 miles from the Huntington Lake weather station. Two other climbing areas sit within 1.5 miles: Wimovi Pluton and Ely Mountain, both easy to pair with a visit here. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Huntington Lake station put July and August highs around 74°F with lows near 49°F and only a day or two of wet weather a month. That station sits about 1,000 feet below the dome, so temperatures up high run cooler. Dorabelle Campground is about 3.4 miles away, and the Balsam Forebay Trail is about 2.6 miles off. For paddling, Stevenson Creek lies about 1.7 miles away, and Coyote, a cross-country ski area, is about 3.6 miles away.
