San Joaquin River Gorge is a bouldering area in California's Millerton Lake, managed by the Bureau of Reclamation. It sits within the Millerton Lake land unit, and the closest neighbors are the Downstream climbing area and the Pa'san Ridge Trail, both about 0.1 mile away. The gorge is a small bouldering spot with two routes, both boulders. Echos of a Spydro Hum is rated V4, and Mega Ohm is V5. The climbing is short and compact, so it works well as a stop on the way to or from other parts of the Millerton Lake area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Friant Government Camp show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 80°F, while July and August average near 99°F. For an overnight stay, Equestrian Campground and Aholul Group Campground are each about half a mile away. The Bridge Trail is 0.7 mile off, and the Millerton climbing area is about 8.5 miles away.
