Courtright Reservoir is a climbing area in the High Sierra Ranger District of Sierra National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of trails, lakes and other climbing spots in this corner of the High Sierra, about 14 miles from Huntington Lake. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Huntington Lake show July and August highs around 74°F with lows near 49°F and only a day or two of wet weather a month, while winter highs stay in the low to mid 40s. Dinkey Lakes and the Dinkey Lakes Trail are just a few hundred yards away, and Helms Creek offers canoeing about half a mile off. Spring Dome, a climbing area, is about a mile away.
