Black Beauty Wall is a climbing area in the Pacific Ranger District of Eldorado National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of hiking and climbing destinations, with Twin Lakes and the Tyler Trail both about 0.4 miles away, and Wrights Lake, another climbing area, about half a mile off. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Dagget Pass show July highs around 75°F with lows near 49°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. That station sits about 70 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures at the wall may run slightly cooler. Wrights Lake Equestrian Campground is about 1.7 miles away, and the Highway 50 Corridor climbing area is roughly 2.6 miles off. Paddlers can find Jones Fork Silver Creek about 4 miles away.
