Rattlesnake Bridge Cutoff is a mountain biking route in California's Ansel Adams Wilderness, within the High Sierra Ranger District of Sierra National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route lies about 2.25 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 457 feet from a low point of 6,589 feet to a high of 6,945 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Huntington Lake weather station, at a similar elevation, show July and August highs around 74°F with lows near 49°F and only one or two wet days a month. Winter is much colder, with January highs around 43°F and lows near 24°F. The Four Forks hike starts about half a mile away, and the Rattlesnake Creek and California Riding and Hiking Trail hikes are each about 1.7 miles off. For an overnight stay, Sample Meadow campground is about 4 miles away.
