Lower Lola Montez Trail is a short mountain biking route in the Truckee Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California, about 0.11 miles from the trailhead. It is an out-and-back ride of about 0.22 miles, with a one-way climb of about 29 feet from a low point of 6,474 feet to a high of 6,527 feet. The trail is rated moderate. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Sagehen Creek weather station, at a similar elevation, show July highs around 80°F with lows near 37°F, while winter highs sit in the low 40s. The Lower Lola Montez hike starts just 0.1 miles away. Hole in the Ground, a mountain biking spot, is about 1.3 miles off, and Lower Castle Creek offers canoeing about 1.6 miles away. Climbers can head to Castle Peak, roughly 1.9 miles from the trail.
