Chicken Spring Lake is a short mountain biking route in California's Golden Trout Wilderness, within the Mt. Whitney Ranger District of Inyo National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the ride covers about a quarter of a mile from a low point of 11,225 feet to a high of 11,288 feet, with a total elevation gain of 49 feet. The Chicken Spring Lake (West) hike lies just 0.1 mile away, and the PCT - Pacific Crest Trail passes within about half a mile. Cottonwood Pass Trail is also close by. For an overnight stay, Cottonwood Lakes Walk In Campground is about 3 miles off.
