The trail is about half a mile long, with a low point of 7,287 feet and a high of 7,360 feet, and it gains about 58 feet of elevation. It is rated moderate. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Tahoe City show July highs around 78°F with lows near 46°F and only about one wet day in the month.
