Ypparraquire Route is a 3.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Hoover Wilderness, part of the Bridgeport Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in California. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface route with no designated bike access. The climb is steep, rising from about 7,886 feet to about 9,563 feet, and the route is rated hard. That makes it a serious outing rather than a casual walk, and the high point sits well above the typical averages from a nearby weather station at Tuolumne Meadows, which sits at a similar elevation. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July highs reach about 71°F with lows near 38°F, while winter months average highs in the low 40s and lows around 12°F. Fremont Lake and the Chain of Lakes are both within a mile, and Leavitt Meadows Campground and Obsidian Campground are about 5.6 miles away.
