Volcanoville Tie is a 6.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Georgetown Ranger District of Eldorado National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated hard, with a one-way climb of about 305 feet from a low point of 3,375 feet to a high of 3,587 feet. The route is on natural surface, and horses are allowed. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Georgetown run from highs around 72°F in May to 74°F in October, while July and August average highs near 91°F. Donaldson and Buckeye Flat are both within a mile, and Nevada Point is about 1.1 miles away. Dru Barner Campground, about 3.5 miles off, is the closest place to camp.
