Nevada Point is an easy out-and-back hike of about 2.4 miles in the Georgetown Ranger District of Eldorado National Forest in California. The trail rises from a low point of about 1,881 feet to a high of about 3,053 feet, with a total elevation gain of about 1,139 feet. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically May and September. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Georgetown put May highs around 72°F and September highs around 86°F, while July and August average about 91°F. The trail is on natural surface and allows horses. Buckeye Flat lies just 0.1 mile away, and the Nevada Point Trail is about 0.7 mile off.
