Squaw Valley Wst Connection is an easy, 1.7-mile out-and-back hike in the Truckee Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California. The trail rises about 357 feet from a low point of 6,160 feet to a high of 6,538 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Tahoe City show July highs around 78°F with lows near 46°F and only about one wet day in the month. Winter brings highs near 40°F and several snowy days a month from December through February. The trail is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes. The Olympic Valley-Western States Connector and the Western States Trail pass within a third of a mile. Silver Creek Campground sits about 1.3 miles away, and the Light Deprivation Buttress climbing area is about 2.6 miles off.
