Seven Ball is an easy out-and-back hike of about 2 miles in the Yuba River Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 457 feet from roughly 1,960 feet to about 2,435 feet, and its natural surface makes it a simple walk for anyone who wants to spend a couple of hours on foot. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 78°F, with July and August highs climbing to about 94°F. Bikes are allowed on the trail, so it works for hikers and riders alike. Dark Day campground sits about 0.6 miles away, and Bullards Bar Trail and Bullards are both within a mile. Garden Point Boating is about 1.5 miles off.
